Hello

Inspiration from our CEO

I believe that we must push ourselves outside of our comfort zone to succeed in ways that we never thought possible.  Below you'll see some of my favorite inspirations from my own treasure chest of quotes and many other leaders from around the world.  Enjoy!  Elias Amash, GRIP CEO

Listening to podcasts or reading books doesn’t mean you’re growing. Growing happens when what you know changes how you live. If you’re not actually putting these new lessons in practice, you’re not growing.

Be willing to pay for anything that saves time. More money will come. More time won’t.

Your greatest achievement as a leader may not be something you do but rather someone you develop.

Elias Amash

You can be a change agent and lead. You can accept change and do nothing. This is survival. Or you can resist change and die. The choice us yours.

Everyone wants a shortcut or a trick to beat the system. You have to put in the work. There are no tricks. You can’t cheat the grind. It knows how much you’ve invested. It knows what you did or did not do. But guess what? It won’t give you anything until you’ve worked for it. Period.

Elias Amash

Your biggest challenge isn’t someone else. It’s the story you tell yourself. It’s the voice in your head that yells I can’t. You have to find a way to change the voice to “I can.” When the voice in your mind starts saying I can’t, replace it with this phrase. “ How can I”

Elias Amash

Most people don’t chase happiness. They chase comfort. Stop chasing comfort and start chasing the hard things. If you want to be happy and be the best, you also must be able to handle the worst!

Elias Amash

If you carry old bricks from your past relationship to your new one, you will build the same house that fell apart before.

Elias Amash

Perfectionism paralyzes progress and potential.

Elias Amash

Complaining is a subconscious way of expressing that you are powerless to change your situation. Complaining is futile and will only hurt you. It drains your energy and spreads like cancer. Nothing will postpone your progress faster than complaining. It is a complete waste of energy and tim

Guard your Mind

Your greatest asset isn’t your bank account or your network.   It’s your mindset.  There’s an invisible war going on daily to take control of your mind.  It’s an intense battle that never stops.   If you don’t have control over your mind, you won’t have control over anything.

So guard your mind closely.  Your worst enemy can’t hurt you as much as your unguarded thoughts.  You need to learn how to select your thoughts just the same way as you select your clothes every day.

I can teach my kids how to be responsible to protect them from calamity...   I can teach them self defense to protect them from bad guys...   I can build a nuclear bunker, buy the safest car, only eat organic... to protect them from External threats...   But I cannot intervene much at all if they threaten themselves from the inside.  Nothing much can protect us from ourselves....   But the right mindset protects us from self destruction.    Guard your thoughts carefully.

More Inspiration

A fact is information minus emotion.

Facts are statements that can be verified.  An opinion is information plus experience.  Ignorance is an opinion lacking information.  Stupidity is an opinion that ignores a fact.     The ability to distinguish between fact and opinion is a crucial skill in this day and age.

Growth creates complexity. Complexity kills growth.

The most important part of life is not the victory but the struggle.  Enjoying the struggle is what separates winners from losers.  The crucial thing is not to have conquered but to have fought well.

GRIT

G-GROWTH R-RESILIENCE  I- INTEGRITY T-TENACITY   This means working vigorously toward challenges, maintaining maximum effort and enthusiasm, despite failure, adversity, and plateaus.    Note:  Grit has nothing to do with talent and can be built through a growth mindset.

The Power of NO

Always be kind, but learn to say no.  No is a complete sentence.  You can’t always be agreeable. That’s how people take advantage of you. Sometimes you have to set boundaries. Sometimes saying no is imperative to self-care.  Taking care of yourself is the most important thing you can ever do.

Choose Your Words Wisely

Words are the most powerful force on earth. They have the power to create or to destroy. We get to choose. Words have energy and power to help, heal, hurt, embarrass, etc.

Gratitude Opens Doors

Doors will open when we are thankful.  The right people will show up in your life when you are thankful and show gratitude. We need to be thankful even when we do not feel it.  Start a journal.  Write down 3 things every day that you are grateful for.  Do this daily without ceasing.

Your Network is Your Net Worth

Connections create more connections.  Trust creates more trust.  Ideas create more ideas.  The more we surround ourselves with people that have an abundance mentality, the farther we will go and the more we will grow.  Your network is your net worth.

Beauty

Don’t let the ugly in others kill the beauty in you.

Mindset

The greatest asset or greatest liability in your life is your mindset.

Death

Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside you while you’re still alive.

Embrace Discomfort

Comfort is the biggest crutch when it comes to making your dreams come true.  Goals are achieved from discomfort and hard work.   They aren’t achieved from staying in a warm and cozy place.  Enduring discomfort is what separates winners from losers.

Truth

People say they’re hungry for the truth but rarely do they like the taste of it.  The reality is that truth is lived, not taught.

Everyone is looking for a secret or some magic. The magic you are looking for is in your work!
