Your greatest asset isn’t your bank account or your network. It’s your mindset. There’s an invisible war going on daily to take control of your mind. It’s an intense battle that never stops. If you don’t have control over your mind, you won’t have control over anything.
So guard your mind closely. Your worst enemy can’t hurt you as much as your unguarded thoughts. You need to learn how to select your thoughts just the same way as you select your clothes every day.
I can teach my kids how to be responsible to protect them from calamity... I can teach them self defense to protect them from bad guys... I can build a nuclear bunker, buy the safest car, only eat organic... to protect them from External threats... But I cannot intervene much at all if they threaten themselves from the inside. Nothing much can protect us from ourselves.... But the right mindset protects us from self destruction. Guard your thoughts carefully.
Facts are statements that can be verified. An opinion is information plus experience. Ignorance is an opinion lacking information. Stupidity is an opinion that ignores a fact. The ability to distinguish between fact and opinion is a crucial skill in this day and age.
The most important part of life is not the victory but the struggle. Enjoying the struggle is what separates winners from losers. The crucial thing is not to have conquered but to have fought well.
G-GROWTH R-RESILIENCE I- INTEGRITY T-TENACITY This means working vigorously toward challenges, maintaining maximum effort and enthusiasm, despite failure, adversity, and plateaus. Note: Grit has nothing to do with talent and can be built through a growth mindset.
Always be kind, but learn to say no. No is a complete sentence. You can’t always be agreeable. That’s how people take advantage of you. Sometimes you have to set boundaries. Sometimes saying no is imperative to self-care. Taking care of yourself is the most important thing you can ever do.
Words are the most powerful force on earth. They have the power to create or to destroy. We get to choose. Words have energy and power to help, heal, hurt, embarrass, etc.
Doors will open when we are thankful. The right people will show up in your life when you are thankful and show gratitude. We need to be thankful even when we do not feel it. Start a journal. Write down 3 things every day that you are grateful for. Do this daily without ceasing.
Connections create more connections. Trust creates more trust. Ideas create more ideas. The more we surround ourselves with people that have an abundance mentality, the farther we will go and the more we will grow. Your network is your net worth.
Don’t let the ugly in others kill the beauty in you.
The greatest asset or greatest liability in your life is your mindset.
Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside you while you’re still alive.
Comfort is the biggest crutch when it comes to making your dreams come true. Goals are achieved from discomfort and hard work. They aren’t achieved from staying in a warm and cozy place. Enduring discomfort is what separates winners from losers.
People say they’re hungry for the truth but rarely do they like the taste of it. The reality is that truth is lived, not taught.
